We’re currently seeking a motivated, organized, and tech-savvy Part-Time Fleet Auto Mechanic to support the maintenance and performance of our fleet. This role reports directly to the General Manager and plays a critical part in keeping our trucks safe, efficient, and road-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage preventative maintenance and vehicle repairs
• Oversee vehicle titles, registration, and insurance
• Coordinate refurbishments (including dump bodies) and vehicle retirement
• Monitor fleet operating expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Conduct cost analysis to determine repair vs. replacement decisions
• Provide driver safety training and coaching
• Guide teams on pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections
• Utilize third-party fleet management software to track performance and data
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
• Build and manage relationships with local repair shops and vendors
• Negotiate pricing with parts suppliers and service providers
• Support vendor partnerships (e.g., recyclers, transfer stations) to optimize costs
• Maintain and service primarily Isuzu NPR trucks

What You Bring

• 8–10 years of relevant mechanical or fleet management experience
• Strong knowledge of mid-sized commercial trucks and dump bodies
• Familiarity with commercial vehicle regulations
• Experience with diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance (welding is a plus)
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Comfort using Google Suite and fleet management systems
• Strong communication skills
• Flexibility with scheduling
• Personal tools
